Hey y’all — I’m Stephy, the heart and soul behind Read My Tulips NYC and the creator of Blooms & Booze, a floral arranging workshop series that mixes flower power with cocktail hour for an experience that feels as good as it looks.
Let me take you into the roots of my business and what truly drives me. Blooms & Booze was born from a passion for blending creativity, connection, and self-care into something real and restorative. These aren’t your average floral classes—each workshop is a luxurious, floral design experience, crafted to help folks relax, tap into their creativity, and walk away feeling connected and cared for.
Whether I’m working with Fortune 500 teams or hosting intimate events like birthday parties my mission stays the same: create unforgettable experiences that prioritize well-being, boost morale, and spark joy. I’ve had the pleasure of working with powerhouse clients like Google, Nike, Sony Pictures, Vinson & Elkins, and Appleby Law Firm—bringing a refreshing, joyful twist to everything from team-building days to high-end wellness events.
Before launching Read My Tulips NYC, I spent over 9 years in fine dining hospitality—working as a server, bartender, sommelier, and lead banquet server.
I’m a certified florist, certified bartender, and certified sommelier, and I’ve handled everything from birthday celebrations to corporate employee appreciation and Department of Education events. Basically, I know how to throw a memorable event and keep the vibes just right.
My love for floral arranging started during one of the lowest points in my life. Struggling with anxiety and depression, I turned to flowers as a way to reconnect with myself. But no matter how carefully I placed each stem, my blooms would fade too fast. Determined to figure it out, I got formally certified in floristry—learning the techniques to make arrangements thrive and last. That journey became my turning point, and I knew I had to share it.
Now, every Blooms & Booze workshop is about more than pretty flowers and good drinks (though you’ll definitely get both). It’s about slowing down, creating beauty, and reconnecting—with yourself, your team, or your community.
In a fast-paced world—especially in a city like NYC—it’s easy to forget how much we need creativity, movement, and genuine connection. That’s why I built Read My Tulips NYC into a space where people can escape the chaos, nurture their spirit, and leave feeling lighter and more inspired.
So whether you’re planning a corporate wellness event, a team offsite, or a private celebration with your people, I’d love to host you. Let’s create something beautiful together—one bouquet, one cocktail, and one meaningful connection at a time.
